Kamakura
Daibutsu is a huge 93 ton, 37 1/2'
high
bronze statue of the budda cast in the thirteenth century, similar
to the daibutsu in Nara it was housed in a temple-this was swept destroyed
about a Century later by a tidal wave,
leaving the Budda in the open air.

I took some black and white Photographs of the Daibutsu which I think
do more justice
than colour-hope to put those on soon.
Hachimangu
This is the primary temple in Kamakura. We visted in the sichi-go-san
season so it was rather
busy.
